“Light makes photography. Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography.”
                                           -George Eastman

For this week’s photo, I decided to show my assignment for my product lighting class. For this assignment, we had to light the product of our choice. But there was a catch, we could only use available light and non-powered modifiers. Believe it or not, this photo was not taken indoors. I took it outdoors and used the sun to create the light that I needed. The non-powered modifiers I used were, white boards, and aluminum foil. It was tricky to get the light to show the form and texture of the vitamin container without blowing out the white areas of it. I was pleased with this image and proud of how much I have learned so far.

My summer semester is already half way over and I can honestly say that I wont know what to do with myself during our break from school. We spend so much time at school that it will be weird having time off. We all know this break is well deserved, but we are so busy with school work that it will feel strange. Loving school is something I never thought would happen to me, but it has happened and I am happy to be doing something I enjoy. Having classmates that support you and help you grown is also pretty great. Overall, I’d say i’m pretty lucky. Even when money is tight, (as it is for most college students) I still don’t regret going back to school. I am excited to see where this journey takes me and I know without a shadow of a doubt, this school will prepare me for anything that comes my way.
